Misal Pav is one of the most popular and flavourful dishes from Maharashtra. It is a spicy curry made with sprouted lentils called “matki,” topped with crunchy farsan (fried snack mixture), onions, and fresh coriander. The dish is traditionally served with soft pav bread, making it a filling and satisfying meal.
This dish is commonly enjoyed as breakfast or lunch in many parts of Maharashtra, especially in cities like Pune, Kolhapur, and Mumbai. Each region has its own variation of Misal Pav, with Kolhapur Misal being the spiciest version.
